Saltillo--Lisa Diane Brown, age 59, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit. She was born August 4, 1963 in Baldwyn to Jesse William Howard and Mary Evelyn Gable Howard. She was a longtime resident of Saltillo and attended Saltillo High School. Lisa was a faithful member of Heavenly Gates Apostolic Church. She was married to Mathew Brown and they enjoyed 12 together. Lisa was talented at all types of crafting. She was an excellent seamstress and loved finding a weathered piece of furniture and making it beautiful again. She was dearly loved by her family who will remember her kind spirit.
Lisa leaves behind her husband, Matthew; two sons, Ivan N. Pickron and wife, Charlene, of Corinth and Nicholas L. Pickron and wife, Andrea, of Etta; three grandchildren, Kaleigh Thomas, Khloe Elizabeth Pickron, and Myhayla Fry Sightler ; her great-grandson, Hudson Tate Sightler; her sister, Tina MacDonnell and husband, Robert; a brother, Tony Howard; and her parents, Jesse and Mary Howard.
A service celebrating Lisa’s life will be 3 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Danny Ethridge officiating. Bro. Chris Swinford will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow at the St. Thomas of Aquinas Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Whitman, Caleb Howard, Tony Howard, Greg Malone, and Dennis Jaggers.
