LINDA TUTOR RAY Saltillo - Linda Tutor Ray, 64, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born October 13, 1948. She was a graduate of Shannon High School. She graduated from Itawamba Junior College with a nursing degree. She worked as a nurse at the North Mississippi Medical Center and also as a Lab Analyst for thirteen years with ESG Operations. She loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo, visiting her family in Las Vegas, and spending time with her puppies. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues, Tupelo with Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. A graveside service will follow at Saltillo Cemetery. Survivors include five children, Sherry Riley (Sean Gambles), Tracy Riley (Kevin Valentine), Dallas Tutor, all of Saltillo, Rachel Idol (Brian) of Kesler Air Force Base and Rebecca Sudduth (Donald) of Saltillo; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earlene and Robert Jowers and her fiancee, Rick Kennedy. Pallbearers will be Donald Sudduth, Kevin Valentine, Sean Gambles, Brian Idol, Greg Patterson and Dan Martin. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday and continue 5- 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home in Tupelo.
