Linda Wood Tanner

LINDA TANNER Saltillo - Linda Jo Wood Tanner, 56, died, Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the Methodist Hospital, Memphis, TN after an extended illness. She was born in Tupelo, MS, November 23, 1957 to the late Joseph Wood and Geraldene "Jerry" Dickey Wood . She was a graduate of Saltillo High School. She later attended college in Memphis, TN. She spent most of her life living in Saltillo where she was an entrepreneur. She loved to cook, especially baking fudge. She enjoyed painting along with other arts and crafts, gardening, being outside, and being with her family. She was loved by her community and her door was always open to them. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Birmingham Ridge Church in Saltillo with Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include two children; Traci Tanner and Joe Tanner both of Saltillo, MS. She was preceded in death by her father, one sister, Ann Thompson and one brother, Tommy Wood.
