LINDA RUSSELL
Palmetto - Linda Joyce Grant Russell, 62, died Monday, November 6, 2006, at her residence in the Palmetto Community after an extended illness. She was born January 14, 1944 to Billy and Opal Bass Grant. As a young mother, she came to know the Lord as her personal Savior. She devoted her life to God,her family, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling. She was an agent for Aflac Insurance for 16 years. She also enjoyed family gatherings and singing. She had a strong spirit and was an inspiration to many. She always had a smile for someone who needed one.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Pastor Terry Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include two daughters, Angela Russell and Amy Russell and husband, Eric, all of Tupelo; three sons, Chuck Russell of Tupelo, Chris Russell and wife, Angela, and Chad Russell and wife, Melanie, all of Olive Branch; her parents, Billy and Opal Grant of Tupelo; four sisters, Bobbie Jaggers of Tupelo, Billie Faye Poole of Hamilton, Carolyn Bratton and Peggy Holley, both of Tupaelo; eight grandchildren, Holly Russell, Hope Russell, Madison Russell, Alex Russell, Tyler Russell, Caden Russell, Dylan Goin and Bryce Goin.
Pallbearers will be Butch Bratton, Bobby Bratton, Josh Holley, Scotty Allred, Brian Pearson, and Eric Goin.
Her nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 12 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
