Linda A. Dickens

Dorsey - Linda A. Dickens, 63, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center after suffering a sudden illness at her home. She was born November 9, 1953, to James Kelvis and Ann Warren Parker in Fulton.



Linda spent her whole life in Fulton. She married Nickey Dickens, Sr. on December 12, 1967 and moved to the Dorsey Community. Prior to declining health, Linda worked as general manager at Five G's manufacturing in Verona. She was also a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed her life to the fullest and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.



Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Nickey Dickens, Sr., of Dorsey; daughter, Melissa Ann Kemp of Fulton; son, Nickey Dickens, Jr. (Nicole) of Dorsey; sisters, Shelia Burleson (Mike) of Tupelo, Debbie Parker Voyles of Tupelo and Pam Parker Williams (Steve) of Pontotoc; brothers, Kenny Parker (Debbie) of Belden and Scotty Parker of Fulton; grandchildren Justin Sartain (Brittany), Merissa Maulden (Tyler) and Bradley Dickens, all of Dorsey; seven great-grandchildren; special friends, Jackie Sue and Mike Henderson of Winfield, Alabama and Shelia D. and Ralph Stewart of Dorsey; aunt, Betty Parker of Memphis; brother-in-law, James Dickens (Verdie) of Raynswell; sister-in-law Pat Gahagan (Maxwell) of Fulton; and a host of nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers James and William Parker.



Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2017, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Matt Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Keyes Cemetery.



Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017, and from noon until service time Friday, July 28, 2017 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
