Linda S. Clayton

LINDA CLAYTON Tupelo - Linda S. Clayton, 65, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in Pontotoc, Mississippi on December 23, 1950 to Andrew and Mary Bolton Weatherly. She helped start Barclay Furniture in Sherman where she worked for 17 years. Linda married Ronnie Clayton in 1969 and they spent 47 wonderful years of marriage together. She was a member of Cheery Creek Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Mike Powell officiating.  Graveside services will follow at Cherry Creek Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Clayton of Tupelo; son, Jess Clayton of Tupelo; sister, Betty Weatherly Tucker of Madison. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tanya Clayton; two brothers, Jimmy Weatherly and Billy "Bo" Weatherly; sister, Shirley Powell. Pallbearer will be Ike Brown, Tony Dickerson, Rick Cummings, Scottie Weatherly, Keith Treadaway, Rance Clayton. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at W.
