Tupelo - Liller Thrasher Hallmark, 92, died Thursday, February 24, 2011, at her residence. She was born in Alcorn County on January 22, 1919 to Jake and Docia Thrasher. She retired from Hunter-Sadler after twenty-five years of service. After retirement, she remained active with auctions, yard sales, flee-markets, First Monday in Ripley, arts and crafts, floral arranging, and cooking. She loved her family and the time she spent with them. She was a Baptist.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Saltillo Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Clayton, Bro. Benny Clayton and Rev. John McAllister officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Curtis (Richard) of Okolona; three sons, Junior Hallmark (June) of Saltillo, Jimmy Hallmark of Tupelo and Russell Hallmark of Amory; one step-son, James Hallmark of Shannon; one sister, Quilla Dean Draper of Mobile, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Hallmark; one son, Roy Hallmark; two great-grandsons, Buddy Easterling and Robert Earl Hallmark, Jr.
Pallbearers will be James Wilemon, Jonathan Fair, Robert Hallmark, Johnny Whitlow, David Hallmark, Bryan Smith and Joseph Whitlow.
