Lila Foster
TUPELO - Lila Elaine Foster, 65, died Friday, March 24, 2006, at the Sanctuary Hospice House after a long illness. She was born Oct. 19, 1940, in Harrison, Ark., to the late Roy and Burbie Jackson. She lived in Arkansas during her early life, graduated from the University of Arkansas and taught school until the birth of her children. She then moved to Oklahoma City, Okla., where she was a beloved wife and mother for many years. She enjoyed sewing, working in her yard and volunteer work at Integris Baptist Medical Center.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Sanctuary Hospice House Chapel in Tupelo with the Rev. Randy Gillespie officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Jim Foster of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one daughter, Candy McCrory and husband, Robbie, of Tremont; one son, David Foster of Kansas City; and a granddaughter, Ashley McCrory of Tremont.
