LIBBY EPTING
Tupelo – Elizabeth Arnold Epting, 88, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born February 8, 1929 to Walter and Pansy Elizabeth Risner Arnold. She dedicated a life time of public service as a school teacher throughout Southeast. Libby was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church, and along with her husband, Ross “Arvin” Epting helped with the Meals on Wheels and the flower guild. She was also a part of the Sheppard Center with the church. Libby and her husband were heavy travelers, visiting all 50 states and traveled around the world. She was a very accomplished seamstress even into her later years and talented photographer. Libby always had sunny disposition and loved people.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Ross “Arvin” Epting of Tupelo; son, Alan Ross Epting (Margie) of Belden; grandsons, Richard Blake Ellison (Audrey) of Phoebe, Adam Jacob Epting (Amy) of Wamego, Kansas and Nicholas Ross Epting of the USS Gonzales, Virginia and great-grandson, Asher Ellison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rodney A. Epting; grandson, Thomas Andrew Ellison and sister, Martha Sue "Tommie" Grisham.
There will be services honoring Libby at a later date.
