LESTER O. STACY
Tupelo - Lester Oliver Stacy, 76, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born August 8, 1937 to Jessie James and Lucy Franks Stacy. He was employed at A & T rebuilders for 22 years as a starter rebuilder. He loved his family and especailly his grandchildren. Lester enjoyed the outdoors including fishing and yardwork. He was an adoring fan of the Atlanta Braves. He was a member of Eggville Church of Christ.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Minister Leon Willis officiating.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Maggie Stacy; two sons, John Putt (Denise) of Tupelo, Lonny Putt of Tupelo; one daughter, Becky Clark of Tupelo; three sisters, Luvine Ratlift of Baldwin, Maxine Malone of Guntown, Modena Jones of Verona; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Lucy Stacy; one brother Ellis Stacy; and his son-in-law, Tony Clark.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Austin Putt, Justin Putt, Bobby Wood, Stanley Ratlift, Blake White, and Kenny Sullins.
Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the funeral home and will continue from 11 a.m. to service time Thursday, December 12, 2013.
