Leroy "Bubby" Fleming

Leroy “Bubby” Fleming Jr. passed away January 11, 2023 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 59 years old. He was born December 20, 1963 in Turrell, Arkansas to Leroy and Flora May Hawkins Fleming. Bubby was an insulation installer for Mitchell Insulation and later for Renfro Insulation. He loved riding 4-wheelers and fishing. Bubby could often be found hanging out with his sister, Donna, at the shop.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Pam Fleming of Tupelo; three children, Tim Goolsby (April) of Nettleton, Robert Whaley (Salena) of the Dorsey Community, and Kimberly Whaley of Tupelo; eight grandchildren, Logan, Jade, Anson, Jacoby, Rhannon, Landon, Dalton, and Bryson; three sisters, Donna Wallis (Clay), Linda Brown (David), and Karen Brown (Willie); a brother, Jeff Hand; and two nieces and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Fleming, Sr. and Flora May Hand Fleming; his step-father, Kenneth Hand; an infant daughter, Leeann Fleming; a brother, Hurbie Fleming; and his grandparents.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Pegues, Tupelo. Services honoring Bubby’s memory will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Jefferson Street Chapel with Bro. Phillip Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Justin, Jason, Bronson, and Brandon Brown, and B.J. and Johnny White. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Shcomp, Josh Criddle and Keith Elliot.
