LENA HELMS MOORE
Tupelo ? Lena Helms Moore, 93, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013, at the Courtyards Community Living Center in Fulton. She was born in Lee County on March 4, 1920 to Rome and Ila Priddy Helms. She was a Mooreville high school graduate. She was a member of Ballardsville Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and had a life-long passion for walking.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Roger D. Franks officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Moore; her parents, Rome and Ila Priddy Helms; one brother, Cecil Helms; two sisters, Ruth Mills and Margie Sizemore.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Boyd, C.G. Franks, Bobby Irvin, Bobby Christian, Junior Loague and Robert Helms.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
