LELA DELON BACON IHLE DYKES
Saltillo - LELA DELON IHLE DYKES, 79, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at her residence in Saltillo. A Lee County native, she was born June 8, 1928 to the late William Henry and Dera Springer Bacon. A 1945 graduate of McGaugh (Nettleton) High School, she was a member of the basketball team. She worked for many years at Rock City Box Company and Hardins Bakery. She enjoyed gardening and her weekly card games and was a member of Union United Methodist Church. Her infesticious laugh, loving and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues, 535 West Jefferson Street, Tupelo MS with Rev. Jimmy Webb officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery (South of Plantersville).
Survivors include her two daughters; Brenda Ihle Kremser, (Bob), of Memphis, TN and Carol Ihle Williams, (Steve) of Bartlett, TN, one son; Mike Ihle, (Natalie), of Tupelo, MS, four grandaughters; Shelley Wilson of Bartlett, TN, Amy Haines of Nashville, TN, Nicole Erwin, (Wayne) of Knoxville, TN and Tanna Holcomb of Pontotoc, MS, seven grandsons; Shane Ihle (Dawn) of Saltillo, MS, Gary Tink (Samantha) Gann, Shawn Ihle (Cala) of Fulton, MS, Steve Williams, Jr. of Nashville, TN, Kyle Kremser of Cordova, TN, Channing Holcomb of Pontotoc, MS and Jake Ihle of Tupelo, MS, three great-grandaughters; Ihle Gann, Krista Ihle and Audrey Erwin, three great-grandsons; Michael Crocker, Eli Haines and Miles Erwin.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandra and Patricia Ihle.
Pallbearers will be Gary Tink Gann, Shawn Ihle, Shane Ihle, Michael Morris, Bubba Holt, Ray Stewart and Andy Harrison.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the funeral home.
