LEIGHTON DILLARD Tupelo - Leighton "Rocky" Dillard, 68, died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at his residence. He was born November 3, 1946 to Lacy Sampson and Doler Morgan Dillard. Rocky enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to country music, messing around the house, and playing with all his grandchildren. He was a long distance truck driver retiring after fifty years of service. He was Baptist by faith. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Brandon Dillard officiating. Graveside will follow at Ingomar Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one, daughter Melissa Mathis (Bubba) of Blue Springs; three sons, Corey Dillard (Ashley) of Blue Springs, Michael Dillard of New Albany, Rocky Dillard (Bridgett) of Bentonia; four brothers, G. W. Dillard (Diane) of Ecru, Carl Dillard (Mary) of Lake Center, Jimmy Dillard of Horn Lake, Ricky Dillard (Pat) of Walls;. fourteen grandchildren, Brooke Hendrix of Yazoo City, Jessica Dillard (Tyler) of Jackson, Chris Dillard of Jackson, Lance Dillard of Pheonix, Arzonia, Austin Dillard of Phenoix, Arzonia, Andrew Dillard of Wisconsin, Timmy Dillard of Wisconsin, Ethan Dillard of Blue Springs, Landon Dillard of Jackson, Hannah Dillard of Jackson, Abbie Dillard of Wisconsin, Lily Heart of Blue Springs, Corey Dillard of New Albany, Savannah Dillard of Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Miley and Amory of Jackson and Trinton Hendrix of Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Leighton Dillard Jr.; two brothers, Bill and Ernie Dillard; and one sister, Mary Joyner. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Lewis, Kevin Self, Tracy Dillard, Kevin Mitchell, Willie Turner, Jason Lewis and David Lewis. Visitation will be 5 until 9 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2015, at W. E.
