Leeta Knepper

Tupelo Leeta Sarah Keys Knepper, 95, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at her Residence after an extended illness. A South Dakota native, she was born May 4, 1914 to Daniel Vincent and Mabel Cherry Griffith Styles. Most of her life was lived in Zion, Illinois and was the last of her tribe. She was Retired from Abbott Labs of Chicago, Illinois. She was a devout Christian and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Stateroom Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2010, at W. E. Pegues in Tupelo. Eulogies will be given by her daughters. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Zion, Illinois.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Keys-Fletcher of Tupelo, and Joan (Frank) Maysak of Fulton; five grandaughters, Angela Nemiro, Georgia Lukens, Jennifer Wilkins, Allyson Vasquez, and TaraBeth Maysak; eight great-grandchildren; and one great great- grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Cliff Keys and Ken Knepper; one great-grandaughter, Kiersten Nikkila.

Visitation will be 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 at the funeral home.
