BUD ESTES Tupelo - Lee Everette (Bud) Estes, 77, died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in the Auburn Community on December 15, 1935, to Cecil and Mary Morgan Estes. He was a life-long member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church in Saltillo. He was a self-employed mechanic for many years working for different companies including Ford Motor Company. He also worked many years as a mechanic supervisor with Penn Tire and Eljer Manufacturing. He still found time for his hobbies and was an avid fisherman who enjoyed working on cars and hunting plus being an expert on all things including Branson, Missouri. Bud loved his family and will be missed by all he touched. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Glen Wiygul and Rev. Donnie Riley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Bobby Estes; children, Mary Estes Abel (Abe) of Mooreville, Joe Estes (Jennifer) of the Cotton Plant Community, Sherri Estes Johnson of Tupelo and Brian Estes (Teresa) of Amory; seven grandchildren, Will Abel (Jennifer) and Pat Abel (Lauren), Luke Estes, Benjamin and Isaac Johnson, Ashlyn and Brody Estes; two great-grandchildren, Davis and Charlie Abel; sisters, Mary Evelyn Willis and Patricia Ann "Pat" Yant. He was preceded in death by his mother. Pallbearers will be Billy and Mitchell Yant, Will and Pat Abel, Ben and Isaac Johnson and Chad Willis. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, at the funeral home.
