LEBA MCLARTY
Verona - LEBA MCLARTY, 87, died Thursday, May 10, 2007, at fdher residence after an extended illness. A Dorsey native, she was born August 20, 1919 to the late Reese and Sallie Hood Christian. She was retired from Blue Bell Manufacturing after 30 years of service. She was the widow of J.W. McLarty to whom she was married for 53 years . She enjoyed gardening and her grandchildren
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Doyle Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include her daughter, Sarah Quintrell and husband, Junior, of Verona; her son, Jerry McLarty and wife, Nancy, of Wren; two sisters, Lareda Cooper of Guin, Ala., and Laura Caldwell of Walls; one brother, Elvis Christian of Tupelo; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; four sisters, Evelene Franks, Loda Mae Franks, Lusine Gray and Lizzie Lee Brazile; two brothers, James Eldrig Christian and Ernest Christian; a son, James D. McLarty; and one great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Starns, Rodger McCormick, Bruce Sisk, Robert Allen Godfry, Marty Keith, and Joey Stanley.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice.
