LAWRENCE STANFORD Tupelo - Lawrence Stanford, 80, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014, at his home. A Tupelo native, he was born April 23, 1934 to Frank and Della Johnson Stanford. He enjoyed to fishing and ride around town. He was a member of Eggville Free Will Baptist Church and attended Living Waters Church in Moorevlle. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Horace Barnes and Rev. Gerald Gann officiating. Graveside service to follow at Eggville Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Martha L. Stanford of Tupelo; one son, Perry Stanford (Sheri) of Tupelo; five grandchildren, Jennifer Vandillengham of Pontotoc, Eric Stanford of Fairfax, Virginia; Sonya Floyd (Wayne) of Guntown, Michael Stanford of Saltillo and Drew Stanford of Tupelo; one sister, Frances Burnham (Jack) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Della Johnson Stanford; one son, Alton Stanford; one sister, Lois Sanders and one brother, Charles Stanford. Pallbearers will be Andrew Stanford, Eric Stanford, Michael Stanford, Ronnie Stanford, Jim Robinson and Jack Burnham. Visitation will be 5 - 9 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
