He was the only son of Lawrence C. Pritchard and Mollie McCullough Pritchard. Lawrence graduated from West Tallahatchie County High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. He enjoyed sports, and throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s he shot coach’s film for junior high school, high school, college, and professional football teams. He was a faithful member of Clarksdale Baptist Church and active participant in the choir, a Deacon, and led several search committees. After relocating to Saltillo, he attended Faith Baptist Church. In his later years, he enjoyed traveling to various parts of the world with groups; his favorite trip being the Holy Land.
