Tupelo - Laurence Tucker Blanchard, 22, died Sunday, April 23, 2006, at his grandmothers residence after sudden illness. A Tupelo native, he was born November 28, 1983 to the late Robbie Chism Williams and Larry Blanchard. He enjoyed computers and playing his guitar.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. John Steele officiating. Burial will be in Long Cemetery, near Pontotoc.
Survivors include his fathers, Jimmy Williams and Kathy, of Toccopola; Larry Blanchard and Joyce of Mantachie; his grandparents, Jo Ann Chism of Tupelo, and John & Bobbie Blanchard of Mooreville; two sisters, Lauren Jane Blanchard of Mooreville, and Shelly Spruil and husband, Joe, of Tupelo; two brothers, John Scott Blanchard and wife, Krista, of Tupelo and Clint Blanchard of Mantachie; aunts and uncles, Becky Roye and husband, Neal, of Pontotoc, Barbara Griggs and husband, David, of Aberdeen, Suzanne Smith and husband, Don, of Mantachie, Frances Long and husband, Mickey, of Mooreville, Kathy Arnold of Arkansas, Mary Dawson of Mooreville, Chris Blanchard and wife, Christy, of Tupelo, Scott Blanchard and wife, Nita, of Mantachie, Phillip Blanchard and wife, Mimi, of Guntown, and Nickey Blanchard of Mooreville; one brother-in-law, Rob Vaught; nieces and nephews, Shelby Lynn Vaught, Haley Ann Vaught, Dalton Hunter Hendrix, Sky Ashton Spruil, Chance Scott Blanchard, and Alex Blanchard
He was preceded in death by his mother, Robbie Williams; a sister, Christy Vaught; his grandfather, Tommy T. Chism, Jr; and his great-grandparents, Wood and Lois Tucker and Robert H. and Dot Monaghan.
Pallbearers will be Neal Roye, David Griggs, Butch Holloway, Shawn Ihle, David Herl, and Stephen Heair.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
