LAURA J. KELLY STEVENS
Tupelo - LAURA JENETTE KELLY STEVENS, 46, was laid to rest in the arms of Jesus, Thursday, September 14, 2006, at her residence after an extended illness. A Clay County native, she was born April 30, 1960 to Isom M. and Mary Foldger Kelly. She had been an adjustments clerk with BanccorpSouth Operations Center for over nine years. Along with her husband, she was a member of the Christian Motorcylists Association. She enjoyed working in her yard and growing flowers. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She was a member of Koinonia Baptist Church.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2006 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Kerry Gibson and Rev. William Warren officiating. Burial will be in Priceville Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Jimmy C. Stevens of Tupelo; two daughters, Brandy Armstrong of Tupelo and Kelly Herring of New Albany; two step-children, Tanja Denson of Peppertown and Teanna Thompson of Pontotoc; her parents, I. M. "Mit" and Mary Kelly of Tupelo; two sisters, Judy Copeland and husband, Larry, of Smithville, and Wanda Williams and husband, Tim, of Mooreville; two brothers, Ed Kelly and wife, Sherry, of Lawrenceburg, Ky. and William Kelly and wife, Robin, of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Drew Armstrong of Tupelo and Haley Herring of New Albany; and a special sister friend, Mary Anderson, of Ecru.
Pallbearers will be Trent Kelly, David Kelly, Brandon Williams, Donnie Copeland, Donald Dykes, Justin Anderson, Calvin Anderson, and Tim Mills
Honorary Pallbearers will be Houston Schooler and members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association.
