LAURA PATTIE KINCANNON MORGAN
Tupelo--Laura Patti Kincannon Morgan, 95, died Monday, June 5, 2006, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. A native of Tupelo, she was born July 25, 1910, to the late James Clayton Kincannon and Annie Holden Kincannon. She was the widow of Leger James Morgan. A graduate of MSCW, Pat was a schoolteacher for some 30 years, teaching in Verona, Vicksburg, Tupelo, Jackson, Hazlehurst, and Miami, Florida. She moved back to Tupelo in 1976 after her husbands death. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Services will be 2 P.M. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church of Tupelo, with the Reverend Ron Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Verona City Cemetery. W.E Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements
Survivors include her two sons, James and wife Beth, of Paris, France, and Philip of St. Petersburg, Florida; six grandchildren, David and wife Erin, of Chicago, Illinois, Jeff and wife Kristine, of Tampa, Florida, Matthew and wife Samantha, of San Francisco, California, Anne, of Tampa, Blair, of San Francisco, and Bret, of Roanoke, Virginia; two great grandchildren, Kelly of Chicago, and Bella, of San Francisco; a devoted great-niece, Julia Lynn Bethay, of Tupelo; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and Pats good friend and caretaker of the past seven years, Dixie Mitchell of Sherman.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie May Kincannon Wilson of Hazlehurst, and Augusta Kincannon Trapp of Tupelo; three brothers, Oliver Kincannon of Bethesda, Maryland, Holden Kincannon of Dallas, TX and Hugh Kincannon of Cleveland, Ohio; three half sisters, Corinne Kincannon Morgan of Saltillo, Rosalie Kincannon Savery of Tupelo, and Katherine Kincannon of Memphis; and a half brother, James Kincannon, of Memphis.
Pallbearers will be David Morgan, Jeff Morgan, Matthew Morgan, Randy Day, Andrew Day, and Scott Bethay.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday, at the funeral home.
