Tupelo—William Larry Dyson, age 68, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 at his home in Tupelo. Born March 14, 1957 in New Albany, he was the son of William Monroe Dyson and Bessie Mae Shettles Dyson. Larry worked repairing small engines until his retirement. He was a man of tremendous faith in God and would share his testimony with anyone. Larry was a faithful member of Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy. He enjoyed watching old westerns and fishing. He will be remembered most as a man who put others before himself. He was known for his handmade crocheted flowers which he would give to anyone who might need a smile. Larry simply loved people with all of his heart and found great joy in helping others.
Larry leaves behind his wife of five years, Judy Dyson; two sons, Rodney Knight and his wife, Becky, and Chad Stuebinger and his wife, Amy; four daughters, Denise Floyd, Marilyn Johnson, Kim Floyd and her husband, Scott, and Kelly Dickens; 16 grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Caylyn Burcham; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carol Paterson and Sissy Nicholson; four brothers, Bo, Richard, Curly, and Keith; and special Friends, Mark and Terry Carpenter, and Bro. Wayne and Earlene Thorn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bessie Dyson; and a great-great-grandson, Jack Timmons.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November, 16, 2024 at Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy with Bro. Ryan Napalo officiating.
