Panama City, Fla " Larnce Clifton Davis, 66, died Monday February 9, 2009 at his residence in Panama City, Florida. He was born December 2, 1942 to Robert and Gladys Lindsey Davis. After graduation from Baldwyn High School, he enlisted in the United States Army and served three tours during the Vietnam War. He lived most of his childhood and adulthood in the Lee County area. After his children were grown, he moved to the Panama City area to enjoy his hobbies and was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2009, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Sammy Lansdell officiating. He will be laid to rest in Hodges Chapel Cemetery in Prentiss County.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Ada Sue Davis; four daughters, Angela Davis of Tupelo, Vicki Palmer and husband, Tony, of Saltillo, Jana Steele and husband, Joey, of Fulton and Sandy Pegues and husband, Greg, of Tupelo; two stepchildren, Pat Maltby of Oklahoma and Lee Jones of Connecticut; four granddaughters, Whitney Pegues of Oxford, Shana Tally of Florence, Alabama, Chelsey Palmer of Shannon and Wriley Abigail Pegues of Tupelo; four grandsons, Chris Palmer and wife, Angela, of Starkville, Colton Tally of Savannah Georgia, Will Pegues of Tupelo and Jacob Christian of the Auburn Community; one step-grandchild, Taryn Patro of Oklahoma; one sister, Barbara Ann Kritner of Mantachie; three brothers, Bobby Davis and wife, Louise, of Peppertown, Hayden Davis and wife, Shelia, of Alcorn and Carroll Davis and wife, Rose of Blue Mountain; the mother of his children, Dorothy Davis of Tupelo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Colton Tally, Will Pegues, Jacob Christian, Justin Davis, Alex Davis and Marty Davis.

Visitation will be held 5 " 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the funeral home.
