Saltillo – Lana Young, 67, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born February 23, 1949 to. She drove a bus for the Saltillo School district for a number of years and later owned her own restaurant in Saltillo. She was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church.
She was full of love, her heart was pure and her grandchildren where the joys in her life. Her mother was her best friend whose life was ended December 1, 2008, six months after her sons’ death. Lana loved going to the beauty shop as much as she could. She was a lifelong resident of Lee County where everyone knew her as “Nanny”. She was the most beautiful woman who could have been on any magazine and will be dearly missed by her family. God gained an angel, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Rev. 21:4)
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at W.E. Pegues Saltillo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Tim Green and Rev. David Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband Randy E. Young; son, Jimmy Darren Hall (Laura Ann) of Saltillo; daughter-in-law, Renee Hall (Floyd); grandchildren, Amy Renee Hall and Aron Lee Hall both of Saltillo and great-grandson, Walker Kyle Morgan; uncle, John Sanders and numerous aunts including, Linda Ridgeway and Myrtle Dill; special friend, Mary Irene York; niece and nephew, Tina Waley (Johnny) and Terry Sanders (Lisa).
She was preceded in death by her mother, step-father, Belind Dill, Jr. and son, Bobby Lee Hall.
