Kenny Sheffield

New Albany - Kenneth Nolen "Kenny" Sheffield, 36, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at his residence. He was born and raised in Mooreville August 1, 1982, to Perry Nolen and Treva Darlene Sheffield. He was a 2001 graduate of Mooreville High School. He had been a resident of New Albany for 13 years. On February 29, 2012, he married Rebecca Palmer and together they had three children. Kenny worked a number of years at B&B Concrete in Tupelo and over six years as a machine operator for Caterpillar in Oxford which later became SMW. He was an avid Ole Miss Rebel football and softball fan. His favorite enjoyment in life was coaching his daughter's travel softball team and spending time with his softball family. Kenny had been a member of Allen's Chapel United Methodist Church since childhood.



Survivors include his wife of six years, Rebecca Sheffield of New Albany; parents, Perry and Treva Sheffield of Skyline; children, Isaiah Sheffield, Emma Sheffield and Connor Sheffield all of the home; one sister, Jessica Bailey of Mobile, Alabama; one brother, Mikey Sheffield (Savanna) of Skyline; maternal grandmother, Rebecca Ann Wilson of Saltillo; paternal grandmother, Jimmie Mae Sheffield of Skyline; mother and father-in-law, Eddie and Sandra Medlin of Blue Springs; brothers-in-law, Chris Palmer (Ashley) of Saltillo and Adam Palmer (Brandie) of Verona; and a host of nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by one sister, Tracy Nichole Steele; one brother, Perry Nolen Sheffield, Jr.; paternal grandfather, Robert Nolen Sheffield; and father-in-law, Ricky Palmer.



Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2018 at Center Baptist Church in Blue Springs with Bro. David Grumbach officiating. Burial will be in Center Baptist Church Cemetery.



Visitation will be from 11a.m. until service time Monday, October 8, 2018 at the Church.



Pallbearers will be Mikey Sheffield, Dylan Hutcherson, Sean Baldwyn, Drew Nanney, Sam Palmer and Joe Palmer.
