AUBURN - Kenneth Ray "Ken Parker, 48, died at his residence after a sudden illness. A native of Mississippi, he was born May 30, 1958, to Martha Steele Parker and the late John Rayburn Parker. He was a longtime resident of the Auburn community. He was married to Cynthia Leslie Parker, who preceded him in death on Nov. 18, 2000. He worked many years at Reynolds Hardware and also several years with the Tupelo City Schools. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mantachie.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Auburn Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Wendy Michele Parker of Auburn; his mother, Martha Steele Parker of Auburn; one granddaughter, Aleigha Gutierrez of Auburn.
