Baldwyn - Kenneth Wesson Miller, Jr., 67, formerly of Horn Lake, died Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks after an extended illness. A native of Horn Lake, he was born July 4, 1943, to Kenneth Wesson and Marilyn Smithson Miller. He graduated from Horn Lake High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a switchboard operator for the Illinois Central Gulf for 25 years. After his retirement from the railroad, he worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
A Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 15, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. His son Trenton Gafford will deliver a eulogy.
Survivors include his wife of seven years, Kathleen Lee Lego Miller of Baldwyn; his children, Trenton Gafford of Horn Lake, Miranda Miller of Memphis, Tenn., Rebecca Miller of Tupelo, Catherine Velazquez of Baldwyn and Marilyn Quiroz of Baldwyn; and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
