Kenneth C. Johnston

KENNETH JOHNSTON Memphis - Kenneth C. Johnston, 45, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013, after fighting a long illness with courage, grace and dignity. He was the son of Janice Johnston and the late Gerald Johnston. He was a graduate of Kirby High School and was near graduation from Memphis State University, when he became ill in 1991. He loved sports, especially the Miami Dolphins, reading and being with family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Janice Johnston of Memphis; one brother, Keith Johnston of Memphis; his aunts and uncles, Donna and Harry Paulk, Judy and Jim Joest, Ronnie and Mary Johnston; cousins Kelly Paulk, Brian Paulk, Laurie Winston, Steve Joest, Mike Joest, and many friends He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Wayne Johnston; his grandparents, Lynette and Archie Atkins and Martha and Rufus Johnston. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013, at W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors. A graveside service will follow visitation at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Sam Yarbrough officiating.
