Kenneth “Midnight” Harris

Kenneth Wayne “Midnight” Harris, age 60, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born January 16, 1963 in Baldwyn, the son of Leon Wayne Harris and Nancy Louise Towery Harris. Kenneth worked for over 15 years as a welder for Allsteel Manufacturing. He was a member of Living Waters Church. Kenneth loved the outdoors especially when he was fishing or riding motorcycles. He was also a great mechanic and enjoyed tinkering on vehicles. His greatest joy came from spending time with family and his little dog, Crackerhead.
Kenneth leaves behind his daughter, Tiffany Renee Harris Cates of Ecru; three grandchildren, Katie, Abel, and Orion; and his sister, Nancy Harris of Saltillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Louise Harris; his grandparents, Robert and Evie Harris and Avin and Minnie Towery; and a cousin Steve Posey.
Visitation will be 12 until 2 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Pegues, Saltillo. Services celebrating Kenneth’s life will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Saltillo Chapel of Pegues with Rev. Tim Green officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Towery, Mickey Towery, Randle Towery, Jerry Harris, Larry Ryan, and Junior Sanders. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Harris and Bobby Posey.
