KEITH O. GRISSOM TUPELO - Keith O. Grissom, 89, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford, MS after an extended illness. He was born in Mantachie, MS on July 1, 1925, to George C. and Alma Virginia Grissom. He served the Army in the "Hell on Wheels" division during World War II and was awarded the Meritorious Unit Award and the World War II Victory Medal. Keith retired from the Tupelo Housing Authority after many years of dedicated service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Ginger Jackson (Eddie) of Mooresville, NC; one son, Michael Grissom of Tupelo; one grandson, John Keith Jackson of Mooresville, NC; one sister, Betty Houston of Birmingham, AL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Faye Grissom. Pallbearers will be John Jackson, Jack Grissom, Kenny Moffet, Don Anderson, Ronnie Jackson, Chris Hutchinson and David Dillard. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
