Lonnie "Keith" Franks, 42, died Sunday March 16, 2008, at the Sanctuary Hospice House from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born Aug. 25, 1965, in Baldwyn to Arthur V. and Barbara Morton Franks. He was employed with Cooper Tire-SIMOS. He was a Christian and a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He loved to being family and friends, and working in the yard. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers football fan.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Moore officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors in Saltillo is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Mylinda Jarrell Franks of Saltillo; his mother, Barbara Franks Morton of Saltillo; three sisters, Margie Pennington (David) of Saltillo, Rita Chamblee (Tommy) of Fulton, and Nina Johnson (Mitch) of Lutz, Fla.; two brothers, Gene Franks of Fulton and Jeff Franks of Okolona; his mother-in-law, Jimmie Lou Jarrell; two sisters-in-law, Michelle Clouse (Craig) of Mantachie and Melissa Scott (Dr. Shane Scott) of New Albany; eight nieces, 12 nephews; six great-nieces, one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur V. Franks, and his father-in-law, Thomas Gene Jarrell.
Pallbearers will be Brian Johnson, Greg Spradling, Eli Johnson, Zac Tucker, Vince Chamblee and Jeff Watkins.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the Saltillo Funeral Home.
