KATHY GOMEZ
Nettleton - Kathy Lou Gomez, 48, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a yearlong illness. A native of Okolona, she was born October 30, 1961, to Willis and Marie Ledlow Fredrick. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, her dog, Rex, and spending time with her family.
Graveside Services will be 12 p.m. Thursday at Midway Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Marietta with Bro. Danny Shorts officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Ruben Gomez of Nettleton; one daughter, Rachel Camacho of Tupelo; one son, Josh Courtney (Kimberly) of Marietta; her father, Willis Fredrick of Dorsey; three sisters, Janice Fredrick of Mooreville, Willa Sue Davis of Kirkville and Rita Morris of Amory; one brother, Donald Joe Curry of Saltillo; four grandchildren, Chelsea and Alex Camacho and Kaylee and Shea Courtney.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Fredrick.
Pallbearers will be David Humphrey, Hugo Valencia, Kevin Curry, Chris Williams, Brandon Davis, and Jeremy Parker.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to service time Thursday at Midway Free Will Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1800 W. Main Street, Box 1,
Tupelo, MS 38801.
