St Augustine, Florida - Kathryn Frost Roberts, 99, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at the home of her son in St. Augustine, Florida after an extended illness. A Baldwyn native, she was born December 3, 1908. She was a graduate of Mississippi State College for Women where she met her husband, R. L. Roberts, who was attending Mississippi State University. Both were school teachers. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, teaching the Womens Bible Class for many years. She moved from Greenwood and lived for 15 years in Meridian before moving to St. Augustine, Florida to live with her son. Her passions were teaching, participating actively in her church, reading and attending sporting events.
Graveside services were 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2008 with Dr. David Freeman officiating. Burial was in Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors were in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Colonel William Frost Roberts (RET) and his wife, Dr. Sue Ellen Pinkerton, of St. Augustine, Florida; two grandchildren, Hilary Roberts and Zachary Roberts of Jacksonville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R. L. Roberts.
