Kathryn Priddy

November 9, 1935 — February 6, 2011

Tupelo - Kathryn May Priddy, 75, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 6, 2011, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A native of Libertyville, Il., she was born November 9, 1935 to Elmer and Frederika Goodman Walton. She had been a resident of Tupelo since 1975 and worked for Wal-mart for several years. She enjoyed sewing and making crafts and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Boguefala Baptist Church.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. David Perry officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband 31 years, Walter Priddy of Tupelo; eight daughters, Angie Sheffield of Fulton, Donna Donaldson (Larry) of Mooreville, Judy Lamphere of Texas, Wanda Rogers (Chris) of Mantachie, Anita Jett of Donaldsonville, Il., Debra Brown of Bloomington, Il., Barbara Priddy of Bloomington, Tonya Lomascola of Bloomington; five sons, George Whitt of Texas, Bill Fritz (Loretta) of Mantachie, Frank Fritz (Robin) of Plantersville, David Priddy of Bloomington, and Jerry Priddy (Denise) of Pocohontas, Ark.; 36 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; her god-son, Johnny Howlett; seven sisters and five brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Elmer Whitt; a great-granddaughter; and two brothers.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Terry Anderson, Paul Anderson, Marty Davis, Jimmy Fritz, Josh Worthey, Bill Worthey.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Stephen Sheffield, Corey Fritz, Rusty Rogers.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
