Kathryn Herring

March 6, 1936 — July 18, 2018

Tupelo - Kathryn Harlow Herring, 82, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Methodist University Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born in Pontotoc County, March 6, 1936, to Purvie Hazel and Verna Grace Palmer Harlow. She was a graduate of Belden High School. On March 16, 1955, she married J.L. Herring. She retired from Internal Medicine Associates after working there for many years as a transcriptionist. Kathryn was truly a Christian lady and no matter what, always wanted to help others. She loved her family and friends so much and was a mother to all she knew. She was a long-time faithful member of Belden Baptist Church where she was active in the Sunshine Sunday School class.



Survivors include two grandsons. Shane Ingellis of Tupelo and Chris Ingellis and his wife, Amanda of Maumelle, Arkansas; three nieces, Julie Carruth and her husband, Tommy, Carley Carruth and Susan Harlow all of Belden; one nephew, Mitch Carruth of Belden; two great- granddaughters, Addie Ingellis of Blue Springs, Bella Ingellis of Maumelle; one great-grandson, Nic Ingellis of Maumelle; one son-in-law, Tony Ingellis; one sister-in-law, Doris Shackelford; and one brother-in-law, Jacky Herring and his wife, Sherry.



She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Kathie Ingellis; one son, Kevin Herring; one brother, Kenneth Harlow and his wife, Maye; and one granddaughter, Hope Ingellis.



Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Belden Baptist Church.



Services honoring her life will be 3 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Belden Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Holcomb and Dr. Don Baggett officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.



Pallbearers will be Tommy Carruth, Mitch Carruth, Chris Ingellis, Nic Ingellis, Shane Ingellis, Brian Fly, Joe Scott and Jerry Page.



Honorary pallbearers will be her special grandsons, Cooper and Corbin Lindley.



Memorials may be made to Belden Baptist Church, 4121 McCullough Blvd Belden, MS 38826.
