Kathie Ingellis

Tupelo - Kathie Herring Ingellis, 51, died Monday, October 8, 2007, at her home after an extended illness. A Tupelo native and lifelong resident, she was born December 9, 1955, to Kathryn Harlow Herring and the late J.L. Herring. She was a 1974 graduate of Tupelo High School. She enjoyed flower gardening, feeding her pet racoons and was an avid "Tigger" collector. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Paul Brashier and Rev. Owen Riddick officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Fred Anthony "Tony" Ingellis of Tupelo; two sons, Christopher M. Ingellis and wife, Amanda, of Maumelle, Ark. and Shane Z. Ingellis of Tupelo; her mother, Kathryn Harlow Herring and her brother, Kevin B. Herring, both of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Isabella T. Ingellis and Nicholas A. Ingellis, of Maumelle, Ark.; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Fred and Virginia Ingellis of Tupelo; and a host of extended family members; two special friends, Gail Harris and Susan Gardner, both of Tupelo.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Hope Michele Ingellis and her father, J.L. Herring.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Barber, Tommy Carruth, Bubba McDaniel, Rob Gardner, Jason Gardner, Jimmy Mitchell, and Danny Mitchell.

Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
