TUPELO - Katherine Watts Archer, 88, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 8, 1917 in Sharon, Tenn., to the late Robert Howard Watts and Euna Kate Springer. She was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper at Harrisburg Baptist Church from 1945 to 1952. She was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church and was very active in the Merry Makers and WMU. She loved to travel and plan trips. She worked with preschoolers and served on various church committees. She was also active in the Traceway Bible Study.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. David Langerfeld and Dr. Forrest Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
She is survived by three cousins and numerous friends and church family.
Pallbearers will be Wallace Crumby, Bill Rieves, David Smith, Byron Sneed, Billy Hayes and James Wilemon.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today.
