Tupelo - June B. Woolard, 82, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at her residence. She was born June 1, 1928, in New Athens, Ohio to John and Alice Ballog. A resident of Tupelo since 1963, she had also lived in Columbus, OH and Birmingham, AL. In 1971, she and her husband, Robert F. Woolard, started the Quality Coatings Paint Company where she was the office manager. She served her community by volunteering at the Good Samritan Free Clinc and the Salvation Army. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she participated in the sewing guild, the Women's Club, and Library.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Hodges (Zeke) and son, Robert F. Woolard, Jr.; two grandchildren, Robert F. Woolard III and Karen Loni Hodges; one great-grandson, Calen Jared Hodges; and a special friend, Tom Hepner.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert F. Woolard; her parents; and her sister, Helen B. Keene.
