JULIET C. BOGGAN
Tupelo - JULIET C. BOGGAN, 84, died Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Baldwyn Nursing Facility after an extended illness. She was born October 26, 1922, in Florence, Ala. to the late James W. and Leva May Spencer Crunk. She grew up in Okolona where she graduated high school. She then attended secretarial school. Earlier in her life, after moving to Tupelo, she worked at the Bank of Tupelo for several years. She also worked for a number of years with the United Cities Gas Company before working for the Mississippi Unemployment Office where she retired in 1987. She was married to Thomas A. Boggan who preceded her in death March 7, 1997. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was active in volunteer work at the library, where she gave numerous book reviews, and also at the North Mississippi Medical Center gift shop. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was very active in her Sunday School Class.
Graveside services will be 4 p.m. at Tupelo Memorial Park with Rev. Hershel Wiygul officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Sally A. Boggan of New York City; one sister, Martha Weathers of Jackson.
Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
