Pontotoc - Julie Wester Aldrich, 53, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at her home after an extended illness. A Birmingham native, Julie was born June 19, 1952 to Christina Taber and the Late Ray Wester. She was a retired deputy for the state of Alabama. A member of the Presbyterian Church, Julie was loved by everyone who knew her and she never met a stranger.
A celebration of Julies life will begin at 1pm on Saturday March 18, 2006 at The First United Methodist Church, 2200 3rd Ave. N. in Pell City, AL. At 2pm in the church sanctuary, Pastor Paul Messer will be officiating the memorial service. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors has been entrusted with her final care.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Mark Allen Aldrich of Pontotoc, MS; her mother, Christina Taber Wester of Pell City, AL; two brothers: Sam Houston Wester and wife, Janice, of Birmingham, AL and Rock Granite Wester and wife, Linda, of Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Many nieces, nephews and cousins along with her extended family and dear friends are also among Julies survivors.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Curtis Wester and one son, Curtis Thompson.
In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at PO Box 222, Tupelo MS 38802, or St. Jude Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
