JUANITA HOWELL
Saltillo - JUANITA HOWELL, 76, died Monday, April 2, 2007, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A native of Florence Co, South Carolina, she was born March 15, 1931 to the late Iran Eugene and Ruth Alice Locklair Courtney. She and her husband, H.D., enjoyed boating and fishing and family gatherings. She loved her dog, Molly. Her family will remember her sense of humor and love of life and family.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lee Memorial Park with Mr. Sammy Lansdell officiating.
Survivors include four daughters, Nita Bailey and husband, Howard, of Tupelo, Charlene Rickels and husband, Larry, of Tupelo, Meg Smith and husband, Gayden, of McComb, Pam Bowen of Belden; two sons, Tommy Goodson and wife, Lucy, of Baton Rouge, La., Collin Bowen and fiancee Shari Butler, of Tupelo; nine grandchildren, Kevin Bailey and wife, Cindy of Saltillo, Rev. Chad Bailey and wife, Rebecca, of Jackson, Courtney Key Worley and husband, Jerry, of Macon, Ga., Frank Key and wife, Candice, of Saltillo, Betsey Goodson Smith and husband, Trent, of Monroe, La., Jarrod Smith and wife, Sarah, of Jefferson, Ga., Lindsey Smith and fiance' Scott Lemmons of Jackson, Matt Butts and wife, Becky, of Pontotoc, Brittney Carter and husband, Bryan, of Alaska; one brother, Frank Courtney and wife, Jeanette, of Florence, S.C.; nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, H.D. Howell, two brothers, Eldon and Iran Courtney.
