JOYCE PEARSON
Tupelo - Joyce Buse Pearson, 79, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility after an extended illness. A Lee County native, she was born May 11, 1927 to the late Allen and Ada Williams Buse. She enjoyed sewing crocheting and cooking. She was a homemaker and a member of East Main Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Minister Gary Williams and Minister Darrell Beard officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include a son, Ken Pearson (Yvonne) of Tupelo; two brothers, J.W. Buse (Peggy) and James Lee Buse, all of Tupelo; five grandchildren, Suzanne Long (Larry) of Saltillo, Kelly Spencer of Tupelo, Karla Mitchener (Rob) of Saltillo, Chelsea Shaw (Jeff) and Leslie Gardner (Clay), all of Finger, Tenn.; and seven great-grandchildren, Clayton and Lauren Long, Olivia and Alex Spencer, Adleigh Mitchener, Gillian Gardner, and Christie Renfro; a sister-in-law, June Franks (Al) of Kosiucsko; and a brother-in-law, Prentiss Pearson of Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyle Pearson and a son, Rickey Pearson.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy McNutt, Marlon Geno, Steve Kelly, Jason Kelly, Ricky Roberts, and Bill Martin.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home
