Ft. Myers, Fla. - JOYCE MARIE JENKINS, 81, died Thursday, August 16, 2007, at her residence in Florida after a brief illness. A Tupelo native, she was born December 25, 1925 to the late Emery Cecil and Deloris Holcomb Davis. She was a homemaker.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Jim Harrington officiating. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Rev. Fred Jenkins of Ft. Myers, Fla.; her son, Ruben Jenkins and wife,Sandy, Ft. Myers, Fla.; six grandchldren, Angelia, Eric, Jeremy, Adrian, Jennifer, Ashley; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Mason of Belden, and Rev. Bill Mason of Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Eddie Lynn Jenkins.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
