JOYCE FERGUSON Tupelo - Joyce Ferguson, 70, died Friday, August 16, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. A Tupelo native, she was born March 13, 1943 to Trannie Darnell and Hettie Lucille Putt Bowen. A faithful employee, she retired from NMMC after 35 years of service as a CLPN. She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2013 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Survivors include two grandchildren, Brandon Meggs of Tupelo (fiancee, Amber Sartain) and Blake Meggs (Alanna) of Pontotoc; two great-grandchildren, Reece and Anthony; two sisters, Peggy Reeves (Donnie) of Pontotoc and Diane McKissack (Wayne Reeves) of Tupelo; one brother, Don Bowen (Evelyn) of Byhalia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eddie Ferguson; one daughter, Robin Meggs. Pallbearers will be Adrian Shook, Andy Kimery, Kevin Crosby, Jessie Reeves, Michael Parker, Alex Witcher. Honorary pallbearers will Phil and Robert Baldwyn. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the funeral home.
