JOSEPHINE DAVIDSON REPULT

Tupelo " On May 8, 2007, Josephine Davidson Repult, 88, left her Little House on the Prairie on the Highway to Heaven after and extended illness. She was born March 31, 1919 at 336 Braodway Street, the second oldest house in Tupelo. She was the only child of Joe Davidson, a well known barber of Tupelo and Jackson, TN., and Virginia Jacobs Davidson, a native of Dyer, TN, who owned and operated a boarding house on Magazine Street. She was fondly known as Nannie and had a talent for her beautiful crochet work that she shared with many people. She surrounded herself with flowers and enjoyed helping others, especially her children and grandchildren. She retired in the 1960s from the Crosstown Automatic Laundry, owned and operated with her husband, Guy Estes Repult. They also owned Repults Appliance company at Crosstown. Untill her illness she was an active member of the Verona United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Robert Roy Repult, and her second husband, Guy Estes Reputl, both natives of Plantersville, MS.

She is survived by her and Guy Estes Repults daughter and caregiver, Peggie Sue Repult and her grandsons, James Michael Hawkins (Sue) and great grandchildren Wesley and Scotty Hawkins, all of Tupelo, a granddaughter, Angela Leigh Hawkins Jamarck (Daivd) and great grandson, Jason Cory Hawkins, all of Plantersville, formerly of California.

She is also survived by her and Robert Roy Repults daughter, Bobbie Jo Repult Carpenter (Tommy) of Baldwyn; her granddaughter, Beverly Harmon (Jim) of West Point, granddaughter Pamela Bates of Tupelo, great-granddaughter, Amanda Huckaby (Melissa Kenny) of Pontotoc, granddaughter Janet Biggs of Iuka, great-grandson, Jeremy Biggs (Amanda) and great-great-granddaughter, Madalynn of Memphis, Tenn., granddaughter Jennifer Malone (Daniel) and great-great-granddaughter, Anna Grace of Alabama and great-grandson, Tyler Biggs of Iuka; grandson, David Carpenter (Gina) and great-granddaughter Carlie of Guntown, grandson Shane Carpenter (kim) and great-grandson, Guy, of Corinth, grandson Brian Carpenter (Paula) and great-grandson, Ben of Saltillo, grandson Tim Carpenter (Kathy) and great-grandchilden Renee, Weston, Jamie, David of Katy Texas, grandson Bart Carpenter (Linda) and great-grandchildren Blake and Tyler of Katy, Texas

Special sitters and friends are Polly Phillips of Guntown, Shelby Sanford of Shannon, Carol Dye of Brewer, and neighbor and friend Anne (Joe) Radojcsics of Carr-Vista.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brian Carpenter, Mike Hawkins, Shane Carpenter, David Carpenter, David Jamarck, and great-grandson Cory Hawkins.

Honorary Pallbearers are Wesley and Scotty Hawkins.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Buddy Smith and Rev. Don Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
