HAROLD RICHBURG Tupelo - Joseph Harold Richburg, Sr. passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at Golden Living Center in Tupelo and went to be with his heavenly father. Harold was born January 20, 1934, to Joe Edward and Pearl Baggett Richburg, in Clarendon County, South Carolina. In 1952 he graduated from Manning High School in Manning South Carolina, attended Clemson University for two years, and then went to work with Commercial Credit Corporation in Georgetown, South Carolina. On February 11, 1956, Harold married the love of his life, Nancy Lee. He and his wife later moved to Columbia, South Carolina, where he worked for Allstate Insurance and then moved to Sumter, South Carolina, where he worked for McGaughlin Ford. Harold was a member of the South Carolina National Guard for eight years. In January of 1968, Harold and family had the opportunity to move to Tupelo to start Wheel Estate Mobile Homes. Harold was a member of the Mississippi Mobile Housing Association, where he served as a director. Along with Harold Pope, he operated New Albany Ford and Mercury. Harold then worked in the Mobile Home business before entering the Real Estate Business with Crye-Leike until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and loved the game. Harold was a faithful and longtime member of Harrisburg Baptist Church. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015, in The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. David Langerfeld and Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Tupelo Memorial Park. Harold is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy Lee Richburg; his children, Hal Richburg (Patii) of Deltona, Florida, Patti Anderson (Doug) of Memphis, and Chris Richburg of Tupelo; his daughter-in-law, Frieda Carlisle (David); his grandchildren, Jessica Hernandez (Randy), Justin Richburg, Kristen Miller (Mathew), Susan Ashley Bozeman (Clarke), Andrew White, Austin Anderson (Katie), Emily Anderson, Maddie, Sadie and Posey Richburg; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Richburg (Mackey); one sister, Betty Ruth Robinson and a brother-in-law, William Brewer. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Stacey Richburg; one great-granddaughter, Samantha; and one sister, Irene Brewer. Pallbearers will be Bob Maynard, Joe Kilgo, Billy Burks, Jerry Hollingsworth, Harold Wilson, Gary Waldrip, Bennie Randle, Steve Hester, Bob Baughn, Murry Coward, Eddie Martin, and Claude Hartly. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Joe Kilgo Sunday School Class at Harrisburg Baptist Church. Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
