SALTILLO - Jonnie Bennett Robbinett, 85, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at the Darlington Hospice Care Center in Verona after a long illness. A native of Saltillo, she was an employee of Furrs Drug Store and McGaughys Department Store in Tupelo for many years before moving to Indiana. She was a member of Beech Springs Free Will Baptist Church. She was the widow of Cecil M. Robbinett.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at McNeil Cemetery with Bro. Clyde Mize officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two foster children, Vanessa Pettigo (Mike) of Saltillo and Venitta Houston (Randall) of Saltillo; one special niece and caregiver, Ann Lauderdale of Eggville; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sara Partin Langston; one son, Larry Bennett; five sisters, Lula Parett, Opal McMullin, Erma Smith, Emma Payne, Mary Fuller; and one brother, Purd Langston.
