Johnny B. SmithTupelo- John Benjamin Smith, 58, died Saturday, May 7, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. Johnny was born May 17, 1957, to James and Minnie Lee Wood Smith. He loved his family, especially spending time with them. He also loved his dogs. Johnny often hung out with friends playing cards.Visitation will be 2 p.m. until service time on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.Services will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Burial will be at Plantersville Cemetery.He is survived by three sons, Allen Smith of Tupelo, Jonathan Smith (Loni Crane) of Fulton and Justin Smith (Brandy) of Nettleton; one daughter, Lori Shierling (John) of Shannon; five sisters, Deborah Wolfe of Vicksburg, Brenda Smith of Vicksburg, Diane McIntire (George) of Pontotoc, Esther Rock of Baldwyn and Paula Harris of Montgomery, Alabama; one brother, Danny Smith of Tupelo; eight grandchildren, Mason Smith, Anna Claire Pennington, Jade Smith, Jayla Smith, Jada Kay Smith, Justin Shierling, Adrianna Shierling and Cody Shierling; caregiver, Rachelle Tartt and best friends, Ricky Ezell and David Ezell.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles Smith and J.
