Saltillo - Johnny B. Floyd, 68, died Thursday, January 3, 2019 at his residence. On October 31, 1950, he was born to Minor Floyd and Lucille Cox Floyd. Shortly after high school, Johnny proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1969 until 1972. Johnny worked for Omega Motion Industries until he was forced to retire due to his failing health. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his son, Kevin Floyd of Saltillo; daughter, Julie; one grandson, Jesse Floyd of Saltillo; one granddaughter, Amber Floyd of Bellevue, Nebraska; and two brothers, KC Floyd and his wife, Jane of Saltillo and Charles Floyd and his wife, Yvonne of Wauchula, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Cox Floyd Champion.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, January, 5, 2019 at W.E. Pegues, Saltillo.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with The Rev. Dr. Gerald Gann officiating. Private graveside services will follow in Union Hill Cemetery in the Poolville Community.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Floyd, Jesse Floyd, KC Floyd, Cody Floyd, Aaron Hall, Mike Patterson and Brad Patterson.
